Lesson #1
Let's take a look at how populations evolve. After watching, answer the following questions in a Google Doc then share it with me or take a picture of your notebook then email it to me ([email protected]): 1. What is a gene pool? 2. List the five (5) fingers of evolution. (Video #1) 3. What is natural selection? I encourage you to explore this topic on your own. Check out some of the recommended videos on YouTube and explore this topic of evolution. This is of course optional, but this topic of evolution is a pretty big one and there is a lot of interesting information out there... |

Lesson #2
New traits and new species can evolve as a result of changes in the gene pool. Next we are going to take a look at speciation. After watching, answer the following questions in a Google Doc then share it with me or take a picture of your notebook then email it to me ([email protected]). You can include it with your questions from Lesson #1: 1. How did feathers evolve? 2. What is speciation? 3. What is an example of speciation? Explain the example you chose. The last thing that I ask you to do this week is fill out the Google Form below. Thank you for your hard work. As always have a great day and GO VIKINGS! |
